The Austin Chamber of Commerce has published its Regional Education Outcomes Report, which was presented at the annual State of Talent and Education event. The report monitors 10 main indicators to evaluate progress throughout the educational pathway, providing a framework from early childhood through career readiness for Central Texas.
According to the Chamber, “Education is the foundation of economic mobility—and ultimately, of our region’s continued prosperity. When students succeed, businesses thrive. The Austin Chamber is committed to working with our partners to ensure that Central Texas develops a robust talent pipeline, prepared for the opportunities of tomorrow.”
The report was developed in partnership with E3 Alliance, an organization recognized for its work in education data over the past twenty years. The 10 indicators were chosen to reflect three stages in a student’s academic development and are intended to give a broad perspective on how effectively local schools support students as they move toward college and employment.
“By making this education data visible, clear, and actionable, we empower business leaders, educators, policymakers, and community partners to take collective responsibility for improving student outcomes,” the Chamber stated.
The organization emphasized that “Education is everyone’s business. The Austin Chamber is committed to using this data to drive results, align community partners, and strengthen our region’s talent pipeline. Our goal is simple: ensure that every student in Central Texas can access a high-quality education that prepares them with the skills to be successful in their career.”
Describing the purpose of the new report, the Chamber added: “The Regional Education Outcomes Report is more than a snapshot—it’s a roadmap for action. Together, we can use this data to guide decisions, close opportunity gaps, and build a stronger future.”
