Effective November 16, 2025, the Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending will implement changes to Section 55.110 of Title 7 of the Texas Administrative Code. The amendment concerns licensing requirements for military service members, veterans, and spouses.

According to the department, these changes will be reflected on the Texas Secretary of State website starting from the effective date. The adopted rules notice was also published in the Texas Register on November 7, 2025.
