Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Marco Trevino to the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners. Trevino’s term will last until February 1, 2029. The board oversees and regulates the practice of social work across the state.

Marco Trevino is based in Edinburg and works as a licensed clinical social worker at Alivio Counseling Services, P.C. He serves as board president of the Community Council of the Rio Grande Valley and holds memberships with both the National Association of Social Workers and the American Red Cross. Trevino earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in social work from University of Texas – Pan American.
