Governor Greg Abbott has announced new appointments to state boards, naming JoMeka Gray to the State Board for Educator Certification and Paloma Ahmadi to the Texas Southern University Board of Regents.
JoMeka Gray will serve on the State Board for Educator Certification until February 1, 2031. The board is responsible for developing certification requirements, continuing education standards, and codes of conduct for public school teachers.
Paloma Ahmadi has been appointed to the Texas Southern University Board of Regents with a term set to expire on February 1, 2029.
