H&P Inc. has announced changes to its leadership team, promoting Raymond John (“Trey”) Adams III to President, effective October 1, 2025. Adams will oversee all of the company’s revenue-generating business units. The company also promoted Mike Lennox and John Bell to Executive Vice Presidents.
John Lindsay, Chief Executive Officer of H&P Inc., commented on the promotions: “I am proud of what our leadership team has accomplished in this challenging market. Trey’s promotion to President, along with the promotions of Mike Lennox and John Bell to Executive Vice Presidents, reflect the strength and readiness of our people to lead the company forward. This is the team, after all, that has positioned H&P as the world’s leading land driller. Now they are ready to take H&P to even higher levels of performance and growth.”
Hans Helmerich, Chairman of the Board, explained: “Now is the right time to make these promotions. The initial integration of the KCAD acquisition is nearing completion and the company’s expanded global footprint across four continents creates important opportunities for growth. Trey and the leadership team have been shaping multiple growth initiatives and will be responsible for carrying them forward over the years.”
Adams becomes only the fifth president in H&P’s 105-year history. He joined H&P in 2008 and has worked in several areas within the company, focusing on combining drilling expertise with technology solutions. As President, Adams will divide his time between North America, the U.K., and the Middle East, with an early focus on expanding H&P’s presence in Middle East markets.
Mike Lennox now serves as Executive Vice President (EVP) of Western Hemisphere land operations. Since joining H&P in 2008, he has led major business segments while emphasizing safety standards and operational performance. Lennox recently managed efforts related to integrating operations from both H&P and KCAD in South America.
John Bell was named EVP of Eastern Hemisphere land operations. With a tenure at H&P since 1998, Bell helped establish FlexRig operations in the Middle East and played a key role during acquisitions such as KCAD. He also led new ventures into Saudi Arabia and Australia by developing partnership models suited for local customers.
The company stated that these appointments highlight its experienced leadership as it enters a new phase focused on international expansion.
