The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) held its annual MNPL Conference in Savannah, Georgia on March 31. Around 300 IAM union members attended the event to discuss labor politics and fundraising efforts.

The conference featured updates from legislative leaders about the organization’s strategy ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. The gathering served as a platform for union members to learn about political developments that could affect their work and advocacy.

Following the conference, IAM delegates joined the No Kings rally and march in downtown Savannah. During this event, participants voiced criticism of the President’s labor policies.

The MNPL Conference is an opportunity for union members who are active in political action committees to come together and coordinate their efforts. The focus on legislative updates highlights how closely labor organizations monitor government actions that impact workers’ rights.

As election season approaches, such events may play a role in shaping both policy priorities within unions and broader discussions around labor issues nationwide.
