IKEA U.S. has launched its first cross-brand retail experience in collaboration with Best Buy, opening a new concept store within select Best Buy locations in Texas and Florida. The initiative aims to make IKEA’s offerings more affordable and accessible for customers by combining kitchen planning services with the opportunity to shop for appliances designed for American preferences.

On November 5, 2025, the IKEA South Austin at Best Buy opened a Plan and order point at 4970 W Highway 290 in Austin, Texas. Through this partnership, customers can access kitchen design services from IKEA staff while shopping for appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, ranges, dishwashers, and washer-dryers.

The new shop-in-shop features a 1,000-square-foot showroom that presents inspirational kitchen and laundry room settings. According to both companies, the collaboration allows shoppers to design their spaces with help from IKEA associates and have furniture shipped directly to their homes instead of taking products home immediately.

A spokesperson said: “This innovative shared retail experience reflects both companies’ commitment to meeting customers where they are – offering well-designed home furnishing solutions and cutting-edge appliances in one convenient, collaborative retail experience.”
