District 77 members in Minnesota have participated in Unity One Credit Union’s annual Toys for Tots drive this holiday season. Local unions 737 and 459 approved funding motions to support the effort, providing a large portion of this year’s contributions.

Members followed up by shopping for toys and delivering a truckload of items. The total value of donated toys exceeded $1,600, which will be distributed to local families.

“IAM District 77 and its locals came together to make a difference for families during the holidays,” said IAM Midwest Territory General Vice President Sam Cicinelli. “Their effort speaks volumes about who we are as a union. I’m proud of the work our members continue to do in their communities.”

“Supporting Toys for Tots reflects the spirit of solidarity our members show all year,” said IAM Local 737 President Eric Jorgensen. “Locals 737 and 459 didn’t just contribute funds, they put in the time, energy, and heart to make sure kids in our community feel the joy of the season. I’m proud of the generosity our members continue to demonstrate.”

The tradition of giving back continues as District 77 aims to bring joy to families during the holidays.
