The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved penalties totaling $1,751,893 against 22 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations. The agency issued agreed orders in several enforcement categories: four air quality cases, two industrial wastewater discharge cases, two multi-media cases, eight municipal wastewater discharge cases, and five public water systems cases. A default order was also issued for one petroleum storage tank violation.
Additionally, on January 13, 2026, the executive director approved penalties amounting to $157,838 against 49 entities.
