TCEQ approves over $837K in fines for environmental regulation violations

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved penalties amounting to $730,403 against 28 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations. The enforcement actions include agreed orders in categories such as air quality, the Edwards Aquifer, industrial wastewater discharges, multi-media violations, municipal wastewater discharges, petroleum storage tanks, public water systems, and water quality.

Default orders were also issued in categories including multi-media violations, municipal wastewater discharges, and public water systems.

Additionally, on September 16 and September 23, the executive director approved penalties totaling $107,083 against 31 entities.
