Texas Commission on Environmental Quality approves over $747K in penalties for violations

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved fines amounting to $611,344 against 27 entities for violations of state environmental laws. The enforcement actions covered various categories, including air quality, Edwards Aquifer, industrial wastewater discharge, multi-media issues, municipal solid waste, municipal wastewater discharges, public water systems, and water quality.

Additionally, the TCEQ executive director approved further penalties totaling $135,720 against 36 entities on January 27.
