The Texas Education Agency has released its 2025 Annual Report, providing an overview of the progress and ongoing challenges facing more than 5.5 million public school students and their teachers across the state.
Texas Education Commissioner Mike Morath commented on the collaborative efforts behind student success. “Every day, educators, families and communities across Texas are working together to help students succeed,” Morath said. “This year’s Annual Report reflects that shared commitment and highlights the progress we are making to improve student achievement, support teachers and expand educational opportunities so that every Texas student, no matter their background, can reach their full potential.”
The report serves as a resource for policymakers, educators, families, community members and journalists. It provides information on statewide education trends and details how the agency is supporting schools to strengthen student outcomes. The document also includes key performance data and points out areas needing further attention or investment to ensure all students have access to quality education.
In addition to the main report, the agency has published its 2024-25 Pocket Edition. This condensed version offers centralized access to statistics such as student demographics and teacher workforce data.
Both publications are intended to inform stakeholders about current conditions in Texas public schools.
