The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) has announced the appointment of Samuel S. “Scott” Olguin as a new public member. Governor Greg Abbott made the appointment on September 17, 2025. Olguin will serve until January 31, 2031.

Olguin, who is from Horseshoe Bay, takes over from Jason E. Hartgraves of Frisco. Hartgraves’ term ended in January. Olguin’s appointment completes this season’s roster of new commissioners for TREC.

Other recent appointments to the commission include Kristi Davis of Carrolton and James B. “JB” Goodwin of Austin, both serving as broker members.
