Union members in Washington, D.C. have set up a food pantry as the government shutdown continues beyond 30 days and federal SNAP funding is running out. The initiative provides canned goods to the public and raises funds for local food banks supporting laid-off federal workers, including members of the IAM Union and NFFE-IAM.
